GROSMONT TOWN HALL

Grosmont Town Hall is owned and run by the Grosmont Fawr Community Council

 

ALL bookings for Grosmont Town Hall must be made by contacting the Clerk of the Council.

If your booking date is available an immediate provisional booking will be made. A booking form will be issued and your booking will be fully confirmed upon receipt of the completed booking form. An invoice will then be issued for payment.

The Town Hall is owned and managed by Grosmont Fawr Community Council and the hirer must

  • Not use the premises for any unlawful or immoral purpose
  • Must not do anything that invalidates any insurance policy
  • Comply with all current health and safety legislation and good practice
  • Leave the hall clean and tidy
  • Remove all rubbish and dispose of it in a responsible fashion
  • Switch off the lights and all appliances
  • Lock up and return the key
  • Pay for any breakages. (Note- the crockery in the kitchen  is owned by the Grosmont Event group and any breakages of the crockery must be paid directly to them).

The maximum number of people in the main hall shall not exceed 80.

If the hirer cancels the booking within 1 calendar month of the date of the event, the full hire fee may become payable unless an alternative booking is obtained.

The keys are to be collected by prior arrangement from Mrs Margie Barker, Prospect House, Grosmont (01981 240875) or Richard at The Post Office, Grosmont or use the key box situated outside the rear door in the Undercroft area. Please note all access is now through this rear ‘Undercroft door’ and no longer through the front door.Duplicate keys must NOT be cut.You will be notified when you book of the current keycode for the keybox.

The hirer will ensure that there is NO SMOKING on the premises.

 

Users must dispose of all their rubbish.  There is a general waste bin plus recycling bins for paper and card, tins and plastic and food waste in the hall with appropriate bags.

 

            The hire charges are:

  • Local Users – including charity events (within the Grosmont Fawr CC area)
  • Prices are per session or part of session.(Please note there is  a minimum hall hire charge of £15.)

Afternoon Session                1pm to 5pm                  £15

Evening Session                  5pm to midnight            £30

Evening Session                   Up to 3 hours                £15

 

  • Non-Local Users – including charity events (outside the Grosmont Fawr CC area)
